Charles Oliveira is working hard to force his way back into title contention. He will get the chance to do so if he manages to earn a big win against Beneil Dariush next time out. But one fan has aired his frustration towards the Brazilian.
'Do Bronx' managed to change the narrative surrounding his career when he returned to the lightweight division and went on a tear. The Brazilian was once considered a quitter and somebody who looked for a way out when things got tough, and now that could not be further from the truth.
After posting an update on his work, one social media user decided to demand that Charles Oliveira change his fighting style ahead of his forthcoming bout against Beneil Dariush, saying:
"Beneil is the same exact fighter as Islam [Makhachev] if not better. If every time you get hit, you fall down and lay there instead of fighting to get up immediately or stay on your feet, it’ll be another embarrassment for you to come... Every energy should be spent trying to keep this fight on the feet. You can do this, but you need to focus."

The passionate fan is clearly referring to Oliveira's tendency to stay grounded once he has been knocked down in order to recover as much as possible before getting back on his feet. Whilst this has helped him on multiple occasions in the past, it backfired against Islam Makhachev, resulting in his defeat to the Russian.
