Logan Paul must have never been a fan of former UFC champion Conor McGregor. In 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov retired after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time.
Known for his dominance in the octagon, 'The Eagle' retired undefeated, leaving behind a career that included victories over MMA’s top stars.
Logan Paul, a YouTube star and budding fighter, expressed his admiration for Nurmagomedov during a 2022 episode of his podcast, Impaulsive. Reflecting on the Gaethje fight, Paul declared:
"He’s the best. Justin Gaethje, the guy he beat in the second round via triangle choke, is also one of the best fighters on the planet. And for Khabib to manhandle like a rag doll, manhandle one of the best combat sports athletes on the planet like a rag doll is so indicative of the level that this guy is operating at.”

Nurmagomedov announced his retirement immediately after the Gaethje fight, emphasizing that his decision was final. While some speculated about a potential comeback, Khabib never returned to the octagon, contrasting Conor McGregor’s frequent retirement reversals.
Paul couldn’t resist taking a swipe at McGregor:
"It's the boy who cried wolf"

Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul reportedly set to take place in 2025
Conor McGregor and Logan Paul are reportedly set to square off in a blockbuster boxing match at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium in 2025. Hosted by the Ambani family as part of India’s “Visit India” tourism campaign, the event is expected to offer each fighter an extraordinary $250 million payout.
The Ambani family, renowned for their ventures in business and sports, aims to use this mega-event to showcase India as a premier destination for global sports. While an official date is pending, early agreements suggest the fight is moving forward.
McGregor confirmed his participation on social media, while Paul teased fans with training footage. This marks McGregor’s return to the boxing ring since his 2017 bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Paul’s first high-profile match since facing Dillon Danis in 2023.
However, challenges loom, as McGregor remains under a UFC contract. UFC CEO Dana White has hinted at McGregor’s potential octagon return in late 2025, raising questions about the promotion's approval for the bout.
