In January 2022, at UFC 270, Della Maddalena was supposed to make his UFC debut against middleweight champion Warlley Alves from The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3. Early in January, Alves left the team for an unspecified reason, and Pete Rodriguez, a newly promoted player, replaced him. Jack obtained a TKO victory.

Sean Brady and Della Maddalena were slated to square off in July 2023 at UFC 290. Brady, though, withdrew from the fight on June 30 because of an unspecified injury. Josiah Harrell, a promotional newbie, took his spot. As a result of Harrell's diagnosis of Moyamoya disease during his pre-fight medical examination on July 7, the fight was called off the day before the event.
