Jaime Munguia has come a long way from the beginning, with a dream of entering the squared circle as a professional boxer, to where he is now. He trained in a small gym to pursue his dream in a small facility in his hometown of Tijuana, California, Baja, Mexico.

Turning his dream a reality, Jaime Munguia made his professional boxing debut on July 13, 2013, against Manuel Mora. The bout was scheduled for four rounds but Munguia dispatched Mora in the second round at 2 minutes and 28 seconds by TKO to secure a win and make a statement on the professional circuit. Jaime Munguia kept amassing successive victories with his powerful performances inside the squared circle as his professional career propelled forward. He won the WBO light middleweight championship by outclassing Sadam Ali in 2018, prior to that, he had also won the vacant WBC Latino light middleweight title by defeating Jose Carlos Paz on February 10, 2018, by a third-round TKO.
