ONE featherweight Muay Thai contender Jamal Yusupov believes he'll be in trouble if his upcoming title fight against Tawanchai goes to a judge's decision.

'Yeniceri' will challenge Tawanchai for the featherweight Muay Thai world title at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. It will be Yusupov's first appearance inside the Circle since beating Jo Nattawut last July.

The Dagestani native thinks a close fight that goes to the scorecards favors the champ, stating in his pre-fight presser:

"Everything is subjective. So everyone thinks his own way and has his own perspective. But the only thing I can think of is if the fight is close, I believe that the decision will go to him and not to me. And that's it."

Yusupov is 3-0 under ONE Championship with victories over Yodsanklai Photirat, Samy Sana, and the aforementioned Nattawut.

Tawanchai's only loss inside the Circle came via split-decision against Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong. Since then, he has rattled off three straight wins, including a pair of TKOs over Saemapetch Fairtex and Niclas Larsen.

Jamal Yusupov believes that he owns a boxing advantage over the champ, which will lead to a knockout win at ONE Fight Night 7. He told reporters:

“He is a young, tough opponent. I can point out that he is quick on his feet, and he works very well with his legs. My advantage is my boxing. Even Tawanchai himself pointed it out. He said I have good boxing. I have always been saying that boxing is my advantage, and I will prove it.”

Yusupov is a six-time Russian national Muay Thai and kickboxing champion who even picked up a victory over Regian Eersel outside of ONE Championship.

ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 will be live on Prime Video from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. All the action from this Friday's card will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video to all Amazon subscribers across North America.
