Ahead of ONE Fight Night 8, two-sport world champion Janet Todd admitted that she likes Superlek’s fighting style more than Rodtang’s.
The long-awaited world title fight between the two superstars will finally come to fruition this Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. All the fans, including atomweight queen Janet Todd, are excited to see how this super-fight will unfold.
Refusing to pick sides, Todd illustrated what makes both of them dangerous inside the ring. However, she likes Superlek’s fighting style the most, which she believes is severely underrated.
Speaking to ONE Championship, here's what she had to say:

“Rodtang is so freakin’ tough when he closes the distance, he can take punches and kicks like nobody I know. But I like Superlek's style moreso. I think he's very tactical with the way he fights. I don't want to give a prediction. I think we all just win in this fight.”
Janet Todd will also feature on the main card alongside long-time rival Allycia Hellen Rodrigues for the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world title. Todd has patiently waited for Rodrigues’ return from maternity leave for more than a year and now that the Brazilian is healthy and ready to go, the American superstar is happy to continue where they left off.
ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video will be broadcast live and for free to American audiences this Friday, March 24, via Amazon Prime Video.
Janet Todd expects the best version of Allycia Hellen Rodrigues
Janet Todd is heading into her next world title showdown prepared to see the best version of Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
The Brazilian superstar took a long break from action to focus on motherhood soon after winning the Muay Thai belt against Stamp Fairtex back in August 2020. Prior to her promotional debut, Rodrigues showed signs of great potential after making headway in the sport in both Brazil and Thailand.
Those facts aren’t lost on Todd, even if her rival has been away for three years. She expects nothing but the best version of Rodrigues to show up on fight night because of her experience as a mother.
She told ONE Championship:
“I don’t think [she’ll struggle with having time away]. With the amount of experience she has and the fact that she fought in ONE Championship before for a World Title, she’ll remember what that feels like. And I’m sure with the baby, it’s giving [her] other inspirations to be better. So, I’m expecting the best version of her.”
