No. 1 ONE strawweight contender Jarred Brooks is gearing up for the biggest fight of his life at ONE Championship 164—and as usual—he's preparing a rap track.
Some may not know that 'The Monkey God' has a knack for rapping and writing bars, but he's been at it for quite a while. He told The MMA Superfan:
"It’s just something that comes out of me. I don’t know. I just studied rap for such a long time that it comes naturally."
Brooks replied when asked if he'd make a song for his fight with Joshua Pacio:

"Oh yeah, for sure. It’s going to be a doozy that’s for sure."
Moreover, the 29-year-old top contender doesn't need much time to craft his track. He continued:
"Probably the day of the fight or the day before the fight. That’s usually how we’re doing it. I kind of want to keep that momentum going and how it’s been."

Jarred Brooks unfazed by fighting Pacio in Philippines
Not only is Brooks faced with having to fight a champ who has defended his belt three times, but he'll also be forced to compete in Pacio's home country.
He told The MMA Superfan:
“The crowd won’t really get to me, the Brazilian crowd didn’t really get to me but it’s just like hearing the roars and you’re like, ‘Holy sh*t, this is really loud,' when I’m on top of this guy trying to punch him and you’re just like hearing a bunch of stuff. But I’ve done a pretty good job of just disconnecting my audio.”
Notably, Brooks once fought UFC flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo to a narrow split decision defeat in Brazil. However, the stakes have been raised for this matchup with Pacio—a world title is on the line—which can change his life.
Jarred Brooks will gun for his first world title against strawweight champ Joshua Pacio at ONE Championship 164 on December 3, live from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
