An acclaimed martial artist, Jennifer Maia made her debut in mixed martial arts against Suelen Pinheiro Ribeiro on December 5, 2009 at Brave FC 4: Explosion in Curitiba, Brazil. She won the bout via TKO in the first round of the fight and went on to amass a four match winning streak before encountering a draw against Kalindra Faria at Power Fight Extreme 4 on November 20, 2010 at Curitiba, Brazil.
