Abdul Razak Alhassan’s Career in the UFC
Abdul Razak Alhassan debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Hall 2 on November 19, 2016, defeating Charlie Ward with a first-round knockout, earning a Performance of the Night bonus. He later lost a split decision to Omari Akhmedov in May 2017. Alhassan faced Sabah Homasi at UFC 218 in December 2017, winning by TKO in the first round. A controversial stoppage led to a rematch in January 2018, which Alhassan won via first-round knockout, earning another Performance of the Night bonus.
He knocked out Niko Price in 43 seconds at UFC 228 in September 2018. Alhassan faced setbacks with a loss to Mounir Lazzez in July 2020 and a defeat by Khaos Williams in November 2020. Returning to middleweight, Alhassan lost to Jacob Malkoun in April 2021 but secured a knockout win against Alessio Di Chirico in August 2021, earning a Performance of the Night award.
