Jon Jones gives a significant update on UFC 309 preparations
Jon Jones is set to return to action at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, 2024, against Stipe Miocic at New York's Madison Square Garden. The long-awaited fight is likely to determine the future of UFC's heavyweight division, which has been in limbo for a while with Jones' hiatus and Tom Aspinall's interim UFC heavyweight belt situation.

With two weeks remaining before the fight, Jones posted an update on social media, revealing his current weight and how it compares to his light heavyweight days:
"240 pounds, fast and strong. I used to walk around at 235lbs as a light heavyweight. This almost feels like a light heavyweight fight without the weight cut."
He also posted a series of workout videos, highlighting his preparation for the fight.

J.D. Vance has recorded a Joe Rogan podcast
Soon after Donald Trump's appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, his running mate J.D. Vance has also recorded an episode.
Vance said in a campaign town hall in Bedford, Pennsylvania, where he took the stage with Tulsi Gabbard, that they just finished recording a 4-hour episode with Rogan in Austin, Texas.
The UFC commentator is yet to reveal the release date or any further details on the alleged episode.
That comes after Rogan clarified in the recent JRE episode why the talks of having Kamala Harris on his podcast fell through.
Daniel Cormier responds to Derrick Lewis' "sc*mbag" comment
Derrick Lewis aimed some blazing comments at Daniel Cormier during UFC Edmonton media day on Wednesday. Although the two have a history of playful banter, Lewis' recent comments seem a bit more personal than usual.
'The Black Beast' said he would like to fight Cormier in his next fight and avenge his 2018 loss:
"That one still doesn't sit right with me, man. Do people really like DC like that? C'mon, man. I told DC to his face that he's a piece of sh*t. He's a piece of sh*t sc*mbag, man. F**k DC."
Lewis added that Cormier "knows why" he's offended.
Ariel Helwani called Cormier up during an episode of his MMA show and put the former double champion on loudspeaker for the fans to hear. Cormier sounded surprised by the outburst but speculated about the "underlying" reason why Lewis might be upset with him:
"He might be a little p*ssed at me because of the way I talked about him... My opinions go with their performances... I was pretty hard on him about retiring because he had lost a couple of fights and I was kind of telling the truth and he seemed mad at me."
