Jon Jones declares Anderson Silva his "personal GOAT"

Jon Jones has accomplished a great many things in the UFC. In his latest outing against UFC 309, 'Bones' took one step closer to touching one of Anderson Silva's most impressive records. The TKO win over Stipe Miocic was Jones' eighth title fight finish, one short of Silva's nine.

Acknowledging the fact, Jones penned a heartfelt tribute to Silva on X. He declared the Brazilian his "personal GOAT" amid a raging debate over the UFC's pound-for-pound rankings and who deserves to be at the top.

Jones wrote:

"From idolizing Anderson Silva as a young man to now being tied with him for the most finishes in title fights—it’s surreal. I grew up watching his greatness, dreaming of one day achieving even a fraction of what he’s done. To now share this honor with someone I’ve admired so deeply is beyond words. Respect and gratitude always to my personal GOAT. #TheSpider."

Is Conor McGregor's UFC future in shambles?

Conor McGregor's loss in the civil case this week will likely not permanently hamper his UFC future, suggested an anonymous insider speaking to Daily Mail. However, he may be put on the sidelines for a while, which means Michael Chandler should really give up on that 'Red Panty Night' dream.

The source, whose name is withheld, told the outlet that while Dana White would still consider McGregor to be a part of a future event, the UFC will likely steer clear of him at the moment.

"UFC is owned by the same people as the WWE, and if Vince McMahon is being shunned by the company, the same thing goes for Conor... But it isn't over for Conor by any means, because he could win his appeal... The president-elect [Donald Trump] is a convicted felon and has been accused of rape and sexual assault in the past himself, but that doesn't thwart them inviting him to their shows and Dana White remaining friendly with him."

"So Conor is in some hot water, but he will be able to come back eventually once the dust clears. It will just be a little longer away than originally expected."

Accused of raping Nikita Hand, 35, at a Dublin hotel in 2018, the jury found McGregor liable for assault and demanded he compensate Hand with €250,000 ($260,000).

Joe Rogan fears WW3 after Joe Biden's latest Ukraine decision

Joe Biden recently authorized Ukraine to use American long-distance ballistics in the ongoing war against Russia. According to reports, the move was in response to North Korea aiding Vladimir Putin with about 10,000 troops. The authorization is allowing Ukraine to launch the Army Tactical Missile System (abbr. ATACMS) aimed at military bases within the Russian border.

Joe Rogan believes this could potentially trigger the start of World War III.

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator blasted Biden for adding fuel to the conflict on his way out of the White House:

"Right now, they are launching missiles into Russia. How are you allowed to do that when you're on the way out? The people don't want you to be there anymore. There should be some sort of pause for significant actions that could potentially start World War III."

Rogan added that the intercontinental missiles could easily have nuclear warheads attached to them, in which case the world as we know it would drastically change. He put his faith in President-elect Donald Trump to fix the matter eventually.

"You f***ing people are about to start World War III...We voted Trump in and his idea to stop all this... hopefully he can do that.''
