Jonathan Haggerty explains what he learned from his two losses to Rodtang Jitmuangnon

The 26-year-old striker has come up short against Rodtang Jitmuangnon on two different occasions. But he took lessons away from each match, telling Heatrick Muay Thai Performance:

“Championship mindset. Like for instance, when they tell you, ‘You got to fight Rodtang’. In your head, you don’t say no. You just say, ‘Yeah, let’s do it’. From the get-go, you just say ‘Yeah, that’s what I want to do. That’s how I’m going to beat him’. That’s the championship mindset you need to have.”

Jonathan Haggerty added, saying:

“I was thinking more of like, the crowd. They wanted to see a war. You see in ONE Championship, sort of ONE base, and that Rodtang sort of adrenaline rush powerhouse. They wanted to see that and get excited. And I thought if he wants to do that, I can do that. And it just went out the window, to be fair.”

Nong-O will surely be Haggerty's toughest fight to date, as the bantamweight Muay Thai king has finished his opponents in each of his last five bouts. This includes a body blow KO over Alaverdi Ramazanov in his most-recent outing.

Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 9 on April 21 to see Jonathan Haggerty challenge the great Nong-O for the undisputed bantamweight Muay Thai world title, live from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

All of the action will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
