Jonathan Haggerty will be making his bantamweight debut at ONE on Prime Video 4. The dangerous Vladimir Kuzmin will be welcoming the former flyweight king to his new weight division.
The British-born Haggerty believes that Kuzmin will be looking to use size and strength as a means to defeat 'The General'. The 25-year-old Muay Thai fighter discussed the matter while speaking to The MMA Super-Fan:
"I feel like maybe he might try and bully me since I’m coming up from flyweight. We know he’s got good punches. We got a game plan and we’ll use it like we always do. We’re excited and we’re ready."
As Haggerty explained, if the Russian Muay Thai fighter does intend to use size as an advantage, then it poses a unique challenge for 'The General' to overcome. The Brit will be looking to make a successful debut in his weight class on November 18.

More than anything, though, Haggerty is looking to put on a show:
“I’ll just get ready. I’m going to come and put my all in the cage like I always do. I’ll fight with my heart. There’s no backing down. I’m just excited to please the fans.”

Jonathan Haggerty wants ONE gold at bantamweight
It will be a tall order for Jonathan Haggerty to overcome the incredible opponents in ONE Championship's bantamweight Muay Thai division. With the iron-fisted king Nong-O Gaiyanghadao holding the world title, the division is very challenging to rise through.
That is exactly what 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty intends to do. He has his eyes set on the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship:
“The plan was, I sat down with my team, and there were two options. We can go bantamweight Muay Thai or we can go fully into MMA. I chose bantamweight Muay Thai because I feel like I want to get the belt again at Muay Thai. I’m destined to get that. I want that belt, especially the new belt. We chose Muay Thai.”
Haggerty will have the opportunity to begin his climb to the bantamweight Muay Thai throne. It all begins at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18 when 'The General' meets Vladimir Kuzmin.
