Brandon Martinez made his UFC debut in 2018, stepping in as a replacement against Andre Soukhamthath. Despite multiple knockdowns, he suffered a unanimous decision loss. He bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Wuliji Buren in 2019 and earned his first Performance of the Night honors with a knockout victory over Liu Pingyuan.

Martinez signed a new contract after a split decision loss to Andre Ewell in 2020. He continued his success with a TKO win over Frankie Saenz and a unanimous decision win against Thomas Almeida.
