Kevin Holland faced Thiago Santos in his professional debut for the UFC. The duo locked horns with each other at UFC 227 on August 4, 2018. The fight went through the stipulated three rounds, in which Holland came up short and lost by a unanimous decision. He found his footing later on in the promotion and compiled consecutive victories in his favor, including the most victories in a calendar year (5) in 2020 in the UFC.
