A professional mixed martial artist and freestyle wrestler from Sweden, Khamzat Chimaev participates in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Welterweight category. In the past, he participated in Brave Combat Federation. Chimaev has won three Swedish National wrestling championships.
Chimaev wrestled at numerous clubs after moving to Sweden, notably BK Athén. Chimaev, regarded as one of the top freestyle wrestlers in the nation, earned a gold medal at the Swedish Freestyle National Championships in 2016 and 2017 at 86 kilograms and in 2018 at 92 kg. Chimaev has participated in four combat Sambo matches and a couple of judo competitions.
