The length of the fight was very unexpected and was a major disappointment for the fans who stayed up late to watch it get done in 00:09 seconds.
The fight didn't go the distance because of Ian's bad luck, and his chin was up and he was clearly overextending his punch.
The counter hook by Kyoji over Ian's straight was similar to McGregor's against Aldo. It was an excellent punch by Kyoji and great stoppage by the referee.
In his post-fight interview, Kyoji called out the striking maestro Tenshin Nasukawa for a kickboxing bout, Tenshin stopped Yusaku Nakamura with a second-round TKO in the same event.
Between January 2015 and December 2017, Ian McCall had been booked for six consecutive canceled fights, four of which were canceled during the fight week.

The odds are strong that McCall calls it a day after this defeat.
This was a super hyped fight, and fans were expecting it to go the distance with some exciting, back-and-forth exchange.
