The Ultimate Fighting Championship is bringing another exciting pay-per-view event, UFC 304: Edwards vs. Muhammad 2 to its fans around the globe live from Co-op Live in Machester, England, on July 27, 2024. The pay-per-view event will be headlined by reigning UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad in a welterweight title showdown.

Leon Edwards witnessed a meteoric rise in the UFC in the past few years. A professional mixed martial artist who made his debut on the professional circuit in 2011, Edwards made his promotional debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 8, 2014, riding high on an impressive record of eight wins and one loss. He went head-to-head against Claudio Silva in his first fight in the promotion and suffered a split decision loss.

After a couple of hiccups initially in the UFC, Leon Edwards made a remarkable recovery and went on rampaging through his opponents while propelling himself forward in the division. Owing to his successful outings, Edwards got a shot at the UFC welterweight title against Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 on August 20, 2022, he shocked the world after pulling up a last-minute knockout in the final round to win the championship.

Leon Edwards’ opponent for his upcoming bout in the main event of UFC 304 is his former rival, Belal Muhammad. The duo first locked horns with each other at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad on March 13, 2021. The fight was ruled a no-contest after Muhammad suffered an unintentional eye poke leaving him incapable of completing the fight. He is riding high on a ten-fight undefeated streak as of July 2024 and is looking for redemption in his high-stakes second meeting against Edwards at UFC 304.
