Lerone Murphy, born on July 22, 1991, is an English mixed martial artist competing in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Raised in Old Trafford, he attended St. Edward’s Primary School and St. Anne’s High Catholic High School. Initially a promising footballer, Murphy’s dreams were cut short by a knee injury at age 16. Inspired by his late uncle, boxing trainer Oliver Harrison, he transitioned to MMA. In 2013, Murphy survived a shooting incident, enduring injuries that left him with prosthetic teeth and a shard of a bullet embedded in his tongue. His UFC debut in 2019 against Zubaira Tukhugov ended in a split draw. Murphy's best performance came against Ricardo Ramos in 2020, where he secured a Performance of the Night bonus with a first-round TKO victory.
