He made his professional mixed martial arts debut on September 22, 2007, against Makhach Gadhziev at AOW 8: Worlds Collide. Jingliang secured a dominant second-round TKO win to start his professional career on a winning note against Gadhziev.

As of August 2024, Gadhziev has 27 professional fights to his record and has been regularly fighting in the premiere mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His upcoming rival at UFC 305, Carlos Prates also has an experience of 25 professional fights under his belt as of August 2024. He made his professional mixed martial arts debut on March 17, 2012, against Sergio Vieira at MF: Max Fight 11. Prates defeated Vieira by second-round TKO to kick off his professional career with a win.
