ONE bantamweight star John Lineker isn't dwelling on the result of his recent fight against Fabricio Andrade. Rather, 'Hands of Stone' is focused on learning from the bout in order to become a better version of himself.
The former champ came up short in his quest to regain his bantamweight title at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. After absorbing damage through the first four rounds, Lineker's corner threw in the towel prior to the final five minutes.
John Lineker isn't accustomed to losing, but he's handling his most recent defeat like a stud. He posted on Instagram:
"More important than recognizing the moment to end the fight, is making it an important lesson for the rest of your life. Our dreams are the best road we can walk."

John Lineker says love for fighting led to him pursuing a career in combat sports
The 32-year-old's love for fighting spans all the way back to his childhood. In fact, it was his deep-rooted love that led him to chase a professional career in mixed martial arts. Lineker told ONE:
“That impacted me. It generated a fire in my heart, something very strong. And that ended up becoming my wish, it became my dream. I already liked to fight, so having martial arts as a lifestyle to support my family was something that really moved me. I started practicing boxing soon after I read this article.”
Lineker's success in pro combat sports has allowed him to support his family while doing what he loves. Throughout his storied career, he has scored victories over the likes of Rob Font, John Dodson, Marlon Vera, and Brian Kelleher.
Upon joining ONE in 2019, Lineker picked up three straight wins en route to earning a title shot against the great Bibiano Fernandes. Taking full advantage of the moment, Lineker knocked out the former long-time champ to attain the belt.
