Merab Dvalishvili is a prominent professional mixed artist in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Dvalishvili started training in sambo and judo right from childhood in his home country of Georgia, owing to his fascination with the combat sports.

Merab Dvalishvili left his home when he was 21 and traveled to the USA with a dream of becoming a professional mixed martial artist. He put on his professional gloves in 2014 and fought his first professional fight at Ring of Combat 47. He defended his title once against Raufeon Slots at Ring of Combat 59 by beating him via first-round KO, thanks to his skull-crushing spinning back fist. Merab Dvalishvili then proceeded further and eventually joined the UFC on December 9, 2017. He lost two fights consecutively in the promotion initially but recovered beautifully and crafted a nine-fight winning streak.
