Michael Keith Chiesa, an American mixed martial artist who competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), was born on December 7, 1987. He also works as a sports analyst.

Chiesa, a professional mixed martial artist since 2008, won the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Live" on FX. He is currently ranked 12th in the UFC welterweight rankings as of July 2023. Chiesa was one of the 32 lightweight fighters the UFC announced would compete in the first live season of the reality series “The Ultimate Fighter.”

By defeating Johnavan Vistante via submission in the elimination rounds, Chiesa gained entry into “The Ultimate Fighter” house and a $5,000 bonus. He was selected as Team Faber's fifth pick. Shortly after his victory, Chiesa's terminally ill father passed away.

On June 1, 2012, Chiesa faced fellow Team Faber member Al Iaquinta at “The Ultimate Fighter” 15 Finale, marking his official UFC debut. Chiesa won “The Ultimate Fighter: Live”'s first match by technical submission over Iaquinta at 2:47 into the first round as a result of a rear-naked choke.

At UFC 265 on August 7, 2021, Chiesa faced Vicente Luque. In round one, he was submitted and lost the fight. On November 20, 2021, Chiesa fought Sean Brady at UFC Fight Night 198. He was defeated by a unanimous decision.

On April 8, 2023, Chiesa was supposed to compete against Li Jingliang at UFC 287. Jingliang, however, withdrew from the fight after suffering a spine injury.
