Starting his professional career in 2017, Morales has an undefeated record of 15 wins and no losses. He also has 11 wins via knockout, 1 via submission, 3 via decision, and seven first-round finishes glittering his fight resume.

Before becoming a professional mixed martial artist, Michael Morales was Equador’s national champion in freestyle wrestling, MMA, and Muay Thai. He also worked as a helper at a Naval factory in order to support his dream of becoming a full-time mixed martial artist.

For his professional debut, Michael Morales had a second-round TKO win against Alvaro Andres Vacacela Guerrero on August 19, 2017, at a promotion called Oro Fighting Championship. Later, with an undefeated professional record of eleven wins, Morales competed at Dana White’s Contender Series 2021. He faced Nikolay Veretennikov and won the bout via a unanimous decision, which earned him his UFC contract.
