Mikey Musumeci already has his sights set on the next man to challenge him for his ONE flyweight submission grappling world championship.
‘Darth Rigatoni’ is just days removed from his first defense of the ONE world title. Stepping into the Circle at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Musumeci delivered a picture-perfect performance against Sambo world champion Gantumur Bayanduuren. Ready to get back inside the cage, Musumeci revealed that his next opponent could be International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation world champion, Osamah Almarwai.
“So there's this guy that just won a No-Gi black belt World's in my division named Osamah [Almarwai],” Musumeci revealed during his ONE Fight Night 6 post-fight press conference appearance. “He's the first black belt world champion from the Middle East. He lives in San Diego and trains in ATOS.”
Mikey Musumeci continued, saying:

“I feel like we would have a great match together, the current No-Gi world champion versus me. I feel like that would just make sense. So possibly, that would be my next match. But again, there are so many tough guys. Whoever they want me to face. I'm here.”
Almarwai is a BJJ black belt under submission grappling superstar Andre Galvao. Representing Atos Academy, Almarwai is the first black belt hailing from the Republic of Yemen and the first citizen of Yemen to capture an IBJJF world championship.

Mikey Musumeci wants to roll with Adriano Moraes when ONE Championship heads to Brazil
With ONE Championship looking to stage a potential card in Brazil, submission grappling sensation Mikey Musumeci believes it would make for a great opportunity to roll with former ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes inside the Circle:
"I also would like to fight Adriano Moraes on the Brazil card for ONE. I know ONE's going to have their Brazil event. I know he's down to roll with me. So it would be awesome if we could go in the circle for ONE's first event in Brazil. I'm sure that you'd love that, too, and I speak Portuguese and I have a lot of Brazilian followers so it would be great for Brazilian fans."
Mikey Musumeci has already expressed a desire to compete against reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson. ‘Mighty Mouse’ and Adriano Moraes are scheduled to square off in a highly anticipated trilogy bout at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video at Colorado’s 1stBank Center on May 5.
Depending on how things turn out in their third and presumably final meeting, ‘Darth Rigatoni’ could potentially find himself matched up with one of the flyweight greats in a superfight of sorts.
