- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and new possibilities go hand in hand and Dana White couldn't agree less. With regards to expanding the horizon of MMA, Dana White includes CM Punk to the family.
The former WWE Champion CM Punk will be seen on his new reality series. Punk isn't qualified for UFC's existing reality show in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), as TUF has a minimum requirement of mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters who already own a winning record and at least three pro fights under their names.
White hence, is definitely hoping to surface some talent on this new reality series. White is therefore on a lookout for a potential opponent for the former professional wrestler. He also states that CM Punk will debut in 2016 in a pay-per-view (PPV) bout and the chances of it happening are ‘100 percent’.

In Dana White's words, “I just started a new show, the pilot is on YouTube, it’s called ‘Dana White Looking for a Fight’ and I’m actually out looking for opponents for CM Punk right now. He will fight next year, 100 percent.”
White needs to find someone as good as Punk if he plans on getting this fight sanctioned by an athletic commission. Fingers crossed!
- The much entertaining, longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) color commentator Joe Rogan may be on one of his last tours of his mixed martial arts (MMA) tour. He recently gave a message that he might be on the brink of putting breaks on his career with the combat sports promotion and August will be the final month.
In his last podcast, Rogan stated the following:
“My contract’s up in August. I might leave in August. It's possible. I like doing shit that scares me. I like taking chances and I like walking away from things. I'm not a big fan of doing the same shit over and over again. I love it, it’s not that I don’t love it. I just like doing a lot of other shit, too.”
Rogan is a successful American stand-up comedian (outside of the MMA), podcaster, actor/host, mixed martial artist, and very well known as the host of Fear Factor. Through the years, Joe Rogan has also been able to establish for himself a profitable career in podcasting.
Apparently, this poses quite a challenge for UFC to find someone worth Rogan to take a seat next to Mike Goldberg. Not-so-long Joe!
