The outlook is looking rather bleak for all the Ronda Rousey fans that were expecting her to make a comeback to the Octagon in the first ever UFC card at New York later this year.
Apparently the Rowdy One has been under the surgeon’s knife to scope out and clean her knee up a little bit, and despite it not being a major surgery, the current recovery forecast as updated by UFC President Dana White could see her return to action only by next year.
He did admit though that he was hopeful of having her back into the fold by the end of this year and that she would automatically get a title shot against whoever was holding the title when she does make her return.
Although many MMA fans are clamouring to see her rematch Holly Holm, who lost her UFC Bantamweight Title to Miesha Tate in only her first defence, it remains to be seen who is in possession of the belt when Ronda makes her comeback.
Current champion and arch-rival Miesha Tate defends her belt for the first time against challenger Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 on July 9th 2016.
