BKFC president David Feldman told the outlet that the promotion is actively pursuing Ngannou:
"We’re very interested in signing Francis Ngannou and would very much like to have him compete in the stacked BKFC heavyweight division. We’re tabling an offer for his services, and hopefully, fans will see him in the BKFC squared circle in 2023."
BKFC reiterated that sentiment on Twitter:
Ngannou is yet to make a statement on his future, but has made a terrific reference to Martin Luther King Jr. to acknowledge his newfound "freedom."
The UFC heavyweight title is now vacant. It will be on the line in the UFC 285 headliner when Jon Jones makes his much-awaited return against Ciryl Gane. Ngannou's exit caused a significant amount of shuffle in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, including the re-entering of Max Holloway.
#2. Tracy Cortez deletes all pictures of Brian Ortega from Instagram
UFC women's flyweight Tracy Cortez and featherweight contender Brian Ortega's relationship was very much public knowledge. They appeared together at events, actively participated in PDA, and openly supported each other during fights. Cortez recently revealed that they were engaged to be married as well.
However, it appears as though the couple has split, if recent social media activity serves as a hint. Both Cortez and Ortega deleted all pictures with the other from their official Instagram profiles. Cortez also changed her profile name back to 'Tracy R. Cortez' from 'Tracy R. Ortega'.

#1. Conor McGregor trolls slap fighting before the launch of Power Slap League
Dana White's investment in Power Slap League has brought quite the eyeballs to the sport, if it can be called one. In a recent viral video of Romanian slap fight promotion RXF MMA, a man was seen taking a slap so hard that one side of his face badly swelled up and became bloodied from the impact.
Conor McGregor took to Twitter to mock the contest, calling the fighter landing the slap "the new heavyweight champion."
Dana White's Power Slap League is set to air on TBS on January 18, 2023. Conor McGregor previously gave his take on the new tournament and even proposed a slap contest between him and Nate Diaz.
