As seen in his first appearance on WWE TV, Fury had a staredown with former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion, Braun Strowman after the latter had won a tag team match. The two men almost sparked a brawl between themselves as Fury jumped the barricade and tried to ignite a brawl, but was stopped by security.

The following week on RAW, Fury was given an open mic in the final segment of the show as the former unified WBA Heavyweight Champion finally traded blows with Braun Strowman. Shortly within the span of a few days, a match between Strowman and Fury was made official for WWE's upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, as the two men had signed a contract on the previous episode of RAW.

Tyson Fury planning on his MMA debut and hopes to get trained by Conor McGregor

Tyson Fury is currently focused on his upcoming clash against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel. However, speaking to Sky Sports News, Fury revealed that he recently had a word with former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and is hoping to get trained by the Irishman in the future.

"Who knows? I have got something big coming up after this, even bigger than this. We might see Tyson Fury have his MMA debut this year. Tyson Fury is taking over. I have been speaking to Conor about it. He's willing to train me. It's gonna be good. He's just said any time that you are ready come over to Dublin and let's go. I can't wait, I'm going to take him up on the offer. Who knows we might be on a double-header.

Fury, who hopes to make the transition to MMA at some point down the road, also teased the possibility of a Fury-McGregor doubleheader event (potentially hosted by the UFC), given that McGregor himself has announced his return to the promotion for 2020.
