The Notorious Connor McGregor never let go of an opportunity to make headlines with his signature trash talking. This time, UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi is the Irishman’s target. The Dutchman stated that he was threatened with a knife by McGregor.
Mousasi claims that he and McGregor had an argument via private texts which were a result of the Dutch kickboxer slamming McGregor’s habit of showing off his wealth. Undoubtedly, this created serious heat between the two.
Mousasi pulled no punches when he expressed the way he felt about The Notorious one.

"People liked it," said Mousasi according to Mmamania.com, regarding his choice words for McGregor earlier this month.
"I just spoke the truth. Sometimes you have to say stupid sh*t before people notice you. I got a private message from Conor McGregor. He was cursing at me, the little f*ck. He was threatening me. I said 'What are you going to do with your 50 kilos?' The f***ker was threatening me with a knife. He knows I could beat his ass any day."
McGregor is known to provoke other fighters, but it is highly unlikely to see him threaten someone with anything but his fists of fury. Mousasi’s allegation seems way too strong for someone to actually believe it. He hasn’t been clear on the details of how exactly he was threatened by McGregor or if the Irishman actually threatened to use a knife.
Mousasi sealed his 40th career win when he dominated an ageing Vitor Befort, via TKO triumph at UFC 204. Despite not being satisfied with his victory over Belfort as he had mentioned earlier that a win over ‘not at his best Belfort’ won’t get Mousasi anywhere; Mousasi wants a title fight.
