A professional mixed martial artist since 2011, Muslim Salikhov is truly a veteran of the sport. Making his octagon debut in 2017, Salikhov has gone up against some tough names in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship like Alex Garcia, Nicolas Dalby, Li Jingliang, Andre Fialho, etc. With more than a decade of expertise in the sport, Muslim Salikhov currently maintains a record of 19 wins and 5 losses in mixed martial arts.

Before signing up for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Muslim Salikhov competed in other promotions like the M-1 Challenge, Cage Fighting: Dagestan, Top of the Forbidden City 4, CKF World Federation, Bullets Fly FC, Superstar Fight 3, etc.

He made his promotional debut on November 25, 2017, against Alex Garsia at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Gastelum in Shangai, China. He came on board in the UFC with a record of 13 wins and only 1 loss, along with an eleven-fight win streak. However, his octagon debut caused him another loss in his record. Salikhov got stopped by Garsia at 3:22 in the second round via a rear naked choke submission. Muslim Salikhov bounced back from his loss in the next one and was on a five-fight win streak between 2017 to 2022.

However, Muslim Salikhov has been losing in his last few matches. He only won two in his last five matches and is currently on a two-fight losing streak. Hence, fans are looking forward to seeing the 40-year-old Russian fighter bounce back from these losses in his next one.
