Muslim Salikhov

One of the technical masterminds from Dagestan, Muslim Salikhov has been an astounding mixed martial artist since 2011. Even though his recent outings in the Ultimate Fighting Championship have not been favorable, Muslim Salkihov had some great victories in the promotion before. Muslim ‘King of Kung Fu’ Salikhov has played 24 matches in his entire career so far. And over the years, he has been against some giant names in the welterweight division of the UFC like Andre Fialho, Li Jingliang, Nicolas Dalby, Randy Brown, Ricky Rainey, etc.

Unlike most fighters hailing from Dagestan, Muslim Salikhov does not only depend on his wrestling skill set. The 40-year-old mixed martial artist has immense techniques in his pocket, ranging from deadly punches to spinning hook kicks. Let us take a look at Muslim Salikhov’s record in the UFC so far.

Muslim Salikhov UFC record

Starting his UFC career in 2017, Muslim Salikhov currently boasts a record of 6 wins and 4 losses in the promotion so far. Whereas; Salikhov’s professional MMA record is currently 20 wins and 5 losses. With such an immense striking ability, the 40-year-old fighter has 13 wins via knockout, 2 via submission, and 5 via decision.

Currently, Salikhov is on a 2 fight-loss streak. He fought Nicolas Dalby and Randy Brown in his last two fights and lost both of them via decision and knockout, respectively. However, being a tough contender like Muslim Salikhov, the chances of him bouncing back from these losses are very likely. For instance, Salikhov’s debut in the UFC was against Alex Garcia in 2017, and he lost the bout via a second-round rear naked choke submission.

And the promotion saw a different Salikhov in his next fight against Ricky Rainey in early 2018. He knocked out Rainey at 3:56 in the second round. Moreover, the Dagestani fighter was on a five-fight win streak from 2018 to 2022, when he faced Li Jingliang and got TKO’d. However, coming from a TKO loss to Jingliang, Muslim Salikhov then faced, Andre Fialho, which is still considered to be one of the important showdowns in Salikhov’s career so far.

Muslim Salikhov vs. Andre Fialho

Salikhov locked horns against Andre Fialho on November 19, 2022, at UFC Fight Night: Nzechukwu vs. Cutelaba in Las Vegas, United States. After two rounds of immense striking and a bit of ground game, Salikhov stopped Fialho in the early minutes of the third round via TKO.
