On an Aug. 5, 2023 edition of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) Fight Companion show, Joe Rogan welcomed longtime friends Eddie Bravo and Brendan Schaub. During their conversation, he touched on the extent of UFC CEO Dana White's gambling addiction, having even once witnessed a $600,000 loss.
While the group conversed about various other topics, Rogan piqued their interest by offering to enlighten them on what he had seen watching White gamble live. According to Rogan, it was an absurd sight that revealed the depths of White's desire to gamble.
"Dana gambles hard. So we go down there, he's [Taylor Lewan] talking about how he's nervous, 'We're up $400 grand.' I'm like, 'Well, look. If you're up $400 grand and you got that attitude, you'll always have $400 grand to work with.' He's there for five minutes, he's down $125,000. And I'm watching this like, 'Oh my God.' My anxiety's through the roof."
When asked by Schaub what game they were playing, the longtime UFC commentator revealed that it was blackjack, a favorite of White's.

"Blackjack. Dana's down $600 grand. He was down $600 grand when we left, which was like two in the morning. We went to get something to eat at the diner, we ate at like two o'clock in the morning, he's still gambling. He gambled there till, like, who knows what hours of the morning? He won, he got ahead."

Joe Rogan previously revealed that Dana White was once kicked out of a casino
Two years ago, on episode #1824 of JRE, which has since been re-uploaded to YouTube, Joe Rogan spoke to guest Lex Fridman about one of the most infamous incidents of Dana White's gambling history.
He said:
"He's so good they kick him out of casinos. Listen to this story. This was back when it was the Palms. It's not the Palms anymore. It's the Sands now. He won so much money. The most he's ever won on a night is $7,000,000. The most he ever lost on a night is $1,000,000. He's really wealthy. So for him to feel it, to get that charge, he's gotta be betting big money. So he won so much money they told him he's banned from the casino."
