MMA GOAT and two-weight UFC world champion Jon Jones celebrated his 37th birthday by doing the thing that brought him to the dance more than a decade ago: working hard in the gym. The reigning UFC heavyweight champ posted a video of him doing some hard yards in his home gym to celebrate his 37th trip around the sun.

Here's the video as posted on Jones' Instagram:

"Tomorrow, I’ll be 37 years old !! I’m 260 pounds 16 weeks away from fighting the most decorated heavyweight in UFC history. I feel like I’m in a great spot right before training camp ramps up. My form is far from perfect in these videos, but I’m happy with it considering the surgeries I recently had. 16 more weeks to become the beast , that’s exactly what I will do. #Champion2024."

Jones is expected to defend his heavyweight belt against former 265-pound kingpin Stipe Miocic. The exact date of the contest isn't official yet after it was postponed due to Jones suffering an injury last year.

UFC CEO Dana White sees possibility of Jon Jones vs Alex Pereira but gives 'Poatan' little chance against the GOAT

One possible match-up fans have been salivating for lately is a superfight between UFC light-heavyweight kingpin Alex 'Poatan' Pereira and heavyweight champ Jones. This clash between two-weight world champions will surely set new pay-per-view records just by the sheer star power of both men.

In a podcast episode with NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, UFC president Dana White addressed the idea of a Jones-Pereira matchup, saying:

"It's a possibility. I mean, Rogan is pushing me right now to try to make that fight. It's just, guys, let me explain something to you... I consider Jon Jones the greatest combat fighter of all time. Jon Jones is the nastiest dude ever in history. Jon's got a dark side to him, man... Jon Jones is a killer."
