Current ONE bantamweight MMA king Fabricio Andrade was forced on the sidelines throughout 2024 because of a shoulder injury he suffered. But this incident even fueled more fire inside of him.

In a recent exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Andrade shared that this setback has allowed him to further improve his skills and an opportunity to learn from it, so it will be prevented in the future, as he said:

"Injuries, it's almost impossible to prevent. But we need to keep working on it so it doesn't stop us from doing what we have to do on fight night. You know, as much as I hated it, again, I think it gives me a chance to get better."

'Wonder Boy' last appeared in action in November 2023 at ONE Fight Night 16 when he fought for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title against Jonathan Haggerty.

His attempt to become a two-sport world champion was foiled by 'The General' after he fell to a second-round knockout loss.

Fabricio Andrade promises to display the best version of himself at ONE 170

Following that defeat from Haggerty, which marked his first defeat under the world's largest martial arts organization, the Brazilian knockout artist intends to bring the best version of himself on fight night against his South Korean rival Kwon Won Il in their rematch on Jan. 24 at ONE 170 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the same interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the Evolve MMA and Tiger Muay Thai affiliate vows to showcase an all-time performance for his fans by saying:

"I believe this isn't just going to be a new version, probably the best version of me. So I want to put that all into my performances, defend my world title, and get that win - hopefully by a knockout. That'll be an awesome performance for me and my fans."

ONE 170 will be available via watch.onefc.com. The blockbuster event emanates from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on Jan. 24.
