Former ONE flyweight MMA world champion and recently retired fighter 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson of the United States has all the time in the world now to look back on his legendary career.

Many fans consider Johnson to be the absolute greatest of all time in mixed martial arts. And it's hard to argue against that, with Johnson having accomplished all there in the sport, particularly winning tiles with the UFC and ONE Championship -- the first man ever to do so.

In fact, 'Mighty Mouse' says that moving to ONE Championship was the greatest decision he ever made for his career.

Speaking to MMA Fighting in a recent interview, Johnson expounded on his decision to leave the UFC and sign with the world's largest martial arts organization several years ago.

The flyweight MMA legend said:

"I'm truly grateful that I had the opportunity to go to ONE Championship because I felt it was a time where ONE Championship was looking for a great American talent. You know me, Eddie Alvarez, Sage Northcutt, and it was the perfect opportunity, a company that valued my morals and my skill set, that won't really focus on getting rid of the flyweights."

Needless to say, Johnson went on to rampage ONE's flyweight division and carve his legacy in stone.

Demetrious Johnson wants to help ONE Championship expand: "How can I help the company and build other athletes?"

Although a position in ONE Championship's executive team is open for Demetrious Johnson, should he decide to go that route, 'Mighty Mouse' believes he can help the promotion out in his own little capacity right now.

He told MMA Fighting:

"That's what we're working through right now, how can I help the company and build other athletes? And what I want to start doing is bringing more eyeballs to ONE Championship and getting more energy with their athletes, right? Like finding the right athlete, telling their story, and being able to shape the company in a certain way, how it's different from the UFC."
