MMA referee and popular analyst John McCarthy shared his thoughts on the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack in the United States of America. One of the most infamous acts of terrorism, the attack claimed 2,977 lives and injured an estimated 6,000 to 25,000 people.

More than two decades later, memories of the incident are fresh in the minds of average Americans. On the occasion of its 23rd anniversary, McCarthy posted a heartfelt message on X:

"September 11th will always be a day to remember the innocent people who lost their lives. It is also a day to realize that you can never count on tomorrow, because tomorrow may never come. Tell the people in your life how you feel about them, how special they are to you, and that if tomorrow never comes you were lucky to have shared time with them."
