ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon says he'll go above and beyond to realize his dream of becoming a two-sport king in ONE Championship.

The Bangkok-based star had this to say on his dream just days out of his featherweight Muay Thai contest with 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut, which headlines the stacked ONE Friday FIghts 81 card inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Sept. 27.

He told the promotion:

"Being a two-sport world champion is a goal in my life. For me, a goal in life is something that we have to achieve at all costs."

Though he came relatively close to accomplishing his goal at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December last year, ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai had other ideas.

The 25-year-old striker kept the Superbon Training Camp founder at bay throughout the five-minute scrap, using his movement and accuracy to diminish what came his way.

Superbon has since bounced back with a win over Marat Grigorian in their interim featherweight kickboxing showdown, and apart from a unification war on the horizon, a statement win for the Thai warrior against 'Smokin' Jo could potentially set him up for a redo with Tawanchai down the line.

Superbon stacks praise on Jo Nattawut's unique Muay Thai style

Before he meets 'Smokin' Jo inside the Mecca of Muay Thai this Friday, Sept. 27, the interim featherweight kickboxing king took an opportunity to heap praise on his opposite number's unique take on 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.

The 34-year-old, in the same interview, offered:

"Jo can punch really well. Maybe it's because he has trained in America for a long time. He's used to fighting in an American boxing style."

ONE Friday Fights 81, which features a 12-fight kickboxing and Muay Thai card, will be available via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com. As always, the promotion's weekly Asian primetime showcase emanates live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
