“A great meaning behind what we’re doing” - Christian Lee says he and brother Adrian will honor late sister Victoria with each fight

Christian Lee plans to honor his late younger sister, Victoria Lee, with special shirts representing her legacy.

In December 2022, the Lee family's lives changed forever due to the tragic passing of 17-year-old Victoria. The heart-breaking situation led to Christian, a two-division MMA world champion in ONE Championship, enduring an extended layoff, and Angela Lee, a former 6x women's MMA world champion, retiring from fighting.

During an interview with ONE, Christian Lee had this to say about how people at his gym, including his younger brother Adrian, have honored Victoria:

“It’s nice to see everyone walking around in the gym wearing Prodigy shirts and see Adrian going out there representing it. I’m looking forward to wearing it in my fights, as well. It’s a great meaning behind what we’re doing.”

Since his last fight, Christian Lee has prioritized helping his younger brother, Adrian Lee make his ONE Championship debut. The 18-year-old has since made a name for himself with two fights in 2024, defeating Antonio Mammarella (first-round submission) and Nico Cornejo (second-round submission).

As for Christian, he's scheduled to make his highly-anticipated return later this week at ONE Fight Night 26. 'The Warrior' hasn't fought since becoming a two-division world champion against Kiamrian Abbasov in November 2022.

Christian Lee plans to hand Alibeg Rasulov first professional MMA loss

On Friday, December 6, Christian Lee will defend his lightweight MMA world title in the ONE Fight Night 26 main event. The 26-year-old's latest challenger is an undefeated Turkish fighter who plans to spoil the return party.

Alibeg Rasulov made his ONE Championship debut in July, extending his MMA record to 14-0 with a unanimous decision win against Ok Rae Yoon.

Rasulov's dominant performance was supposed to make him the interim lightweight world champion, but he was ineligible due to missing weight. The 32-year-old looks to right that wrong and claim ONE gold for the first time.

ONE Fight Night 26 will take place inside the legendary combat sports venue of Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. Friday's event in Bangkok, Thailand can be seen live and for free by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
