Takeru Segawa is making the most of fight week as ONE Friday Fights 81 draws closer. With the card's fighters already in Bangkok for the Friday event, Takeru decided to polish his game plan ahead of his pivotal matchup against Thant Zin at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
Takeru took to Instagram and said that he's slowly acclimating to Bangkok's tropical heat while trying to maintain his weight and hydration levels for his flyweight kickboxing contest.
Nevertheless, Takeru Segawa is determined to put on an absolute clinic in his second fight under the ONE Championship banner.

"Three more days until game day. Coverage and press conference today, losing weight in unfamiliar territory environment is tough. A little more spirit, we will win."
Takeru is arguably the greatest Japanese kickboxer in history and is the only fighter to capture world titles in three divisions in K-1. 'The Natural Born Crusher', a former K-1 bantamweight, featherweight, and super featherweight world champion, made his ONE Championship debut in January this year in the main event of ONE 165.
Takeru put on an inspiring effort against Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his bid for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title at Tokyo's Ariake Arena but ultimately lost via unanimous decision in his promotional debut.
The Japanese superstar also suffered multiple muscle tears in his left leg due to Superlek's incessant low kicks that put him on the shelf for a few months.
Now that he's fully recovered, Takeru is hellbent on putting Thant Zin down and restarting his march for another world title challenge.

Takeru said in an interview with the promotion that his goal is to become the best striker on the planet, and competing under ONE Championship presented such an opportunity.
He said:
"The ideal is to prove I'm the strongest in the world. That's the goal. That's why I came to ONE. I want to achieve that and then retire."
