ONE strawweight MMA star Lito Adiwang is convinced that three-sport athlete Danial Williams will have no trouble competing under Muay Thai rules for the first time in three years at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6.

Speaking exclusively with Sportskeeda MMA, 'Thunder Kid' explained how Williams might fare against Thongpoon PK Saenchai inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand:

"I think there's just a small shift from kickboxing to Muay Thai. You just need to add elbows and holds where you can counter in Muay Thai. We've seen that he still has the skills that he honed when he trained for Jonathan Di Bella. So for me, I think facing Thongpoon is good, since he has faced world champions in the past. Just a little twist in his preparations."

Fighting Thongpoon is a dangerous assignment for 'Mini T'. The Thai standout lost his last two outings, which snapped his four-fight unbeaten streak to start his ONE tenure.

Williams understands his opponent's hunger to return to the win column. He suffered four straight losses between October 2022 and this past February before ending the streak with a win over Banma Duoji under MMA rules in October.

Danial Williams predicting a knockout finish at ONE Fight Night 26

Danial Williams recognizes he will be in for the fight of his life against Thongpoon, so he expects it to come down to who can land the knockout shot first.

In a separate interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the 31-year-old said:

"Whoever lands first because - we both have knockout power to put each other away. I, however, do think that I'm a bit stronger though. I feel like he's a little bit smaller so I feel like I will have the advantage there."

ONE Fight Night 26 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
