The last time Superbon stepped inside Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, he came up short. He has no intention of letting that happen again.

Returning to the iconic arena, the reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing king will look to etch his name in the history books as a two-sport ONE world champion.

To accomplish that feat, he'll have to go through fellow Thai warrior Tawanchai as he puts his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship on the line against Superbon in one of the most anticipated rematches of the year.

During an interview with Nick Atkin of the Bangkok Post, Superbon was asked how it feels to return to the site where he suffered one of his worst defeats at ONE Fight Night 6 in Jan. 2023 and what it would mean to redeem himself in front of a packed crowd in his home country.

"Impact Arena is a big stage and there’s a lot more people there than in Lumpinee," Superbon said. "So a lot of people are watching you - if you did good, a lot of people are going to support you. But if you didn’t do good, nobody will look at you anymore. So, in this game, you need to be the best. You need to be the winner."

Superbon confident he's made the adjustments necessary to defeat Tawanchai at ONE 170

Since suffering a loss at Impact Arena, Superbon has put together an impressive run, going 3-1 and once again claiming the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title via a lights-out performance against former three-time GLORY Kickboxing champion Marat Grigorian at ONE Friday Fights 58.

His lone loss during that run came against — you guessed it — Tawanchai. The very man he'll headline ONE 170 against in just a matter of hours.

Tawanchai secured a majority decision victory over Superbon in their inaugural meeting in Dec. 2023. But this time, Superbon believes he's made the necessary adjustments to stifle Tawanchai's signature offense and come out on top and claim his second ONE world title.

"From watching his previous recorded fights with other fighters, I found that if I hadn’t approached him that close, he wouldn’t be able to push me with his feet like that," Superbon told ONE. "If I keep springing in and out, it’d be harder for him. So, I think that’s adjustable in the next fight."
