Ukrainian star Alyona Rassohyna has no regrets about pumping the brakes on her mixed martial arts career to become a mother.
More than three years removed from her last appearance on martial arts' biggest global stage, Rassohyna will step inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for an opportunity to become a ONE world champion.
Standing in her way will be streaking standout Denice Zamboanga as the two battle it out at ONE Fight Night 27 on Prime Video to become the new interim ONE atomweight MMA world champion.

The last time fight fans saw Rassohyna compete, it was in a closely contested battle against Stamp Fairtex at ONE: Empower in September 2021.
Speaking with the promotion, she shed some light on her lengthy layoff, revealing that she's since had two children and has been working hard to get her body back into top form before making a return to the Circle.
“I took a short maternity leave," Rassohyna said. "I can’t say that it’s a sacrifice; I would say it’s a natural process in every woman’s life. I had two C-sections, I have two children, and that has its side effects during the recovery process of the body, especially an athlete’s body."
Alyona Rassohyna faces a very tough test against a motivated Denice Zamboanga
Alyona Rassohyna will face a very tough test in her first fight back as she's set to square off with Denice Zamboanga — a 6-1 fighter under the ONE banner with highlight-reel victories over a slew of atomweight's biggest names, such as Jihin Radzuan, Mei Yamaguchi, Julie Mezabarba, and most recently, Noelle Grandean.
Originally, Zamboanga was set to challenge undisputed atomweight queen Stamp Fairtex at ONE 167 in June, but an injury forced Stamp to bow out of the bout and undergo immediate knee surgery.
As Stamp continues to heel and work her way back, Zamboanga will fight it out to see not only who leaves the Mecca of Muay Thai with a ONE world title but who sets the stage for a showdown with Stamp later this year.
Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 27 live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, January 10, in U.S. primetime.
