ONE Vice President and MMA legend Rich Franklin always knew what he's doing in terms of scouting interesting fights.
Spending years to seek the best talents and observed their growth throughout their respective careers, Franklin thinks that the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title fight between Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart will be epic.
These two top contenders will clash in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 live in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2, from inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
There, he expects the No.1-ranked Brooks and third-ranked Balart to wage war on the hunt for gold, as this match can be considered as a Fight of the Night material.

When speaking to ONE Championship, Franklin said:
"I’m looking forward to seeing the Interim Strawweight MMA World Title match between Brooks and Balart, they both run a pace in a fight that never fails to deliver."
“Brooks had his strap stripped over the head dump of Pacio, and Balart has been climbing the ranks of the weight class and patiently waiting for his opportunity. The stakes are high for both," he added.

Last minute shake up on Jarred Brooks vs. Gustavo Balart interim title fight
A day before ONE Fight Night 24 goes live, Gustavo Balart failed to make weight and hydration requirements for his interim title fight against Jarred Brooks.
Based on that, he is now ineligible to go home with the belt, regardless of the result in this main event tilt inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
However, both Brooks and Balart are more than ready to scrap, even if it means only one of them are entitled for the belt.
Brooks said:
“We’re putting this on for all the short kings.”
“You’ll see martial arts in a lot of different aspects. It’s two torpedoes coming at each other making fireworks. We’re looking to take each other’s head off," he added.
