Jake Paul recently opened up about his most recent boxing bout against Mike Perry and heaped praise on the former UFC fighter-turned-BKFC star. He commended him and commended him for the toughness he displayed during their bout this past Saturday, which saw 'The Problem Child' earn a sixth-round TKO win.
'Platinum' looked much smaller than the former YouTuber-turned-boxer and there was a noticeable difference in power. Perry took significant strikes and was dropped on a couple of occasions, however, he was able to regroup and had his fair share of optimistic moments.
'The Problem Child' took to his X account to praise his latest opponent's resilience and noted that he holds him in high regard for the way he handled the loss. Paul mentioned that he considers Perry a legend in combat sports and believes he will become an even bigger star. He wrote:
"Mike Perry's heart is undeniable and he's a combat legend. He has dominated countless opponents with his fists, including UFC champion Luke Rockhold, who is the same size I am. He lost because I was better than he thought I was going to be. But respect him for acknowledging my skills and handling the loss with class. I know he's going to continue to rise in combat sports and be a star for years to come."

Is Jake Paul vs. Alex Pereira realistic?
Jake Paul continued to aim at the MMA community following his win over Mike Perry this past Saturday as he issued a call out to Alex Pereira.
There was plenty of discussion on social media, especially considering the two were seen on a FaceTime call while 'The Problem Child' was celebrating his win. Despite the call-out and acknowledgment, a bout between the YouTuber-turned-boxer and the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion doesn't appear to be realistic.
Pereira is locked into a lengthy UFC contract and it is unlikely that Dana White will change his stance and put the light heavyweight division on hold to fight 'The Problem Child'. With that in mind, Paul will likely have to turn his attention to free-agent MMA fighters should he continue to pursue boxing bouts against them.
