The former UFC star spoke about the chilling details of past sexual assault in her captivating memoir, 'Rise'. At just 16 years old, VanZant became a victim of sexual assault. In her memoir, she recounts the horrible and life-altering turn of events during her teenage years. She describes the experience by saying:

"They move me around... They change my position. I fail each time I try to resist, my limbs like wet cement on my body, my brain a heavy fog," said VanZant. "I am awake and conscious, but my body feels dead. I know what is happening but can do nothing to stop it. I have no voice or choice but to submit and pray that it ends soon."

Paige VanZant also revealed that she was plunged into a deep emotional abyss and how she battled the thoughts of suicide as she wanted to escape reality. Despite all of the trauma suffered at a very young age, the former UFC star has come out of it and has managed to do pretty well in her life. Apart from her career as a mixed martial arts fighter, she has also joined the world of professional wrestling.
