Jiri Prochazka released what was potentially his final training footage post before UFC 303 on social media and fans were quick to point out a minor fact in his video. As the former champion trained at the UFC Performance Institute two days before his title fight with Alex Pereira on June 29, fans noticed his unique attire.
In the 30-second clip, Prochazka was seen wearing a custom Villarreal CF jersey as he warmed up before removing it. As a native of the Czech Republic, 'BJP' has no known ties to the La Liga club that finished in eighth place in 2023-2024.
Without any explanation for his wardrobe, many found the decision to be strange. Though a popular international sport, Villarreal is not known for having as large of a fanbase as some of the more reputable teams in the league.

Jiri Prochazka donning a Villarreal FC jersey at the UFC Performance Institute on June 27 has many believing that he may be a die-hard soccer fan. Prochazka is dedicated to life as a fighter but has known ties to the sport.
As Marc Raimondi wrote for ESPN in 2022, 'BJP' is a former member of a soccer hooligan club in his native Czech Republic.
Raimondi did not mention which club Prochazka supported in his young adult life but noted that he was frequently invested in partying with the group and borderline addicted to alcohol.
