“A trilogy of our story” - Alyona Rassohyna eager to secure third date with Stamp by claiming interim atomweight MMA belt

Alyona Rassohyna likes the sound of a trilogy fight with Stamp Fairtex.

But to get it, Rassohyna will first have to go through one of the atomweight division's most formidable forces, Denice Zamboanga. The two will square off this Friday night when ONE Championship heads back to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok for a loaded ONE Fight Night 27 card on Amazon Prime Video.

The winner will leave as the new interim ONE atomweight MMA world champion and, more importantly, with a guaranteed date against the division's undisputed queen, Stamp.

Rassohyna, who has already gone toe-to-toe with Stamp, can't help but be excited about earning a potential rubber match with the Thai fan favorite. Speaking in her ONE Fight Night 27 pre-fight interview, Rassohyna said:

"With Stamp, I'm more than convinced we would be given a trilogy of our story, so it's two completely different stories. Once the champion is able to make a full recovery, she will return to the division and be able to continue fighting for her belt."

Alyona Rassohyna has stood inside the Circle with Stamp Fairtex twice thus far, the first coming at ONE: Unbreakable III in February 2021. On that night, the Ukrainian shocked the world, scoring a third-round submission victory over Stamp.

While the loss snapped her unbeaten streak in mixed martial arts, Stamp stormed back and evened the series seven months later, earning a split decision win over Rassohyna at ONE: Empower.

In the years since Rassohyna has sat on the sidelines after giving birth to two children, but now she's back and ready to pick up right where she left off more than three years ago.
