Takeru Segawa has been awarded the Victoria Lee Award by ONE Championship in recognition of his significant charitable contributions across Asia. The citation, named in honor of the late Victoria Lee, who tragically passed away in late 2022, celebrates individuals who have made a positive impact on their communities.
Takeru’s generous spirit was evident in his recent bout against Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81 in September 2024, where the Japanese superstar triumphed in scintillating fashion.
Beyond his victory, he made a heartfelt gesture by donating a portion of his fight earnings to support victims of Typhoon Yagi, which had devastated Myanmar, Thant Zin’s home country.

His charitable outreach extended to schools in Vietnam, where he distributed much-needed school supplies and gifts, while also taking part in exhibition kickboxing matches.
Takeru’s goodwill extended to Laos, where he not only spent time with students, but also contributed significant funds to help improve local schools. His donations funded water purification systems and repairs to outdated plumbing.
