To build anticipation for Tawanchai PK Saenchai's upcoming assignment, ONE Championship revisited his promotional debut, which introduced him to a global audience.
The Thai superstar made his maiden appearance in the world’s largest martial arts organization at ONE: Dangal in May 2021, where he faced Sean Clancy in an action-packed three-round fight.

Right from the get-go, Tawanchai employed punishing combinations, with each strike leaving deep marks on Clancy’s torso. Midway through the opening salvo, he landed a right uppercut-left straight combo that dropped his Irish opponent for an eight-count.
Tawanchai maintained his relentless offense in the next two rounds. Despite the lopsided nature of the duel, Clancy stood his ground and fought fire with fire. However, his determination could only take him so far.
In the third frame, Tawanchai clobbered a left high kick that landed cleanly on Clancy’s chin, instantly knocking out the former WBC Muay Thai world champion just 35 seconds into the round.

Since that dominant performance, Tawanchai has won eight of his next nine outings, including the coveted ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title against Petchmorakot Petchyindee in September 2022.
Tawanchai takes on Superbon in rematch at ONE 170
On Friday, January 24, Tawanchai PK Saenchai will make his 11th appearance for the promotion in the main event of ONE 170 at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
There, he will defend his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship against divisional kickboxing king Superbon in a highly anticipated rematch.
Both men initially crossed paths at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023, with Tawanchai earning a razor-thin majority decision.
This time, Tawanchai is looking for a more decisive victory as he runs it back with his compatriot.
